We are excited to announce that the SKYRUNNER® UK & IRELAND 2023 Series is back.

The UK & Ireland Series exists to celebrate and push the boundaries of Skyrunning as a sporting discipline. 

We want the series to really stand in the modern sporting world, showcasing its values of Technicality, Equality, Determination and Focus.

In creating a series we know that the saying is true – the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. 

Each race is exciting and inspiring in itself, but together they create a new concept – a collection of races that keeps both the runners and audiences engaged throughout the season.

  • From sea to sky, skyrunning spans the whole of the great outdoors, across some of the world’s famous mountain ranges.

    Today skyrunning represents the pinnacle of outdoor running defined by altitude and technicality and includes 300 official races worldwide with more than 95,000 participants from 65 countries.

    In the UK, the series has been in existence since the mid-2010's with the V3K in Wales, 3 x 3000 in the Lakes and an Ultra in the Peaks. 8 years on and skyrunning is going strong with 10 registered skyraces in the UK. 

  • Each race has been chosen to highlight the most iconic locations in the UK showcasing the awe and natural beauty of each of our National Three Peaks – Yr Wydffa (Snowdon), Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis (Beinn Nibheis).

    They have been selected on their scenery, challenge, historical and cultural significance and that extra ‘wow’ factor that they will offer both to the running athletes and the public.

    We want these races to be on every runner’s bucket list!

  • Have we got a race calendar for you!

    Starting the year off with Scafell Sky Race in the Lake District, we then head to North Wales and the lofty heights of Snowdonia for the Snowdon Skyrace!

    Skyrunners then have the opportunity to take on the mighty Helvellyn Sky Ultra before heading across the border into Scotland for our newest Skyrace, the Dragons Tooth Skyrace before the ultimate finale of the Ben Nevis Ultra!
